The Royal Tyrrell Museum of Palaeontology (RTMP) is Canada's only museum dedicated exclusively to the science of palaeontology. In addition to housing one of the world's largest displays of dinosaurs, the Museum offers a wide variety of creative, fun, and educational programs that bring the prehistoric past to life. The Museum is operated by the Government of Alberta under the Ministry of Culture

The mandate of the RTMP is to be an internationally recognized public and scientific museum dedicated to the collection, preservation, protection, presentation, and interpretation of palaeontological history, with a particular emphasis on Alberta's rich fossil heritage.

The Royal Tyrrell Museum of Palaeontology's emuseum site is designed to provide both the public and professional scientists a glimpse inside the Museum's collection. Non-sensitive specimen specific information is available for both general browsing and specific searches. The site is updated nightly and contains information on the Museum's entire collection.
